RIJC — Hebrew School for January - May 2024 — Begins Thursday January 25th.

 

Dear Parents,

 

We are taking a one week break between the 2 semesters. Our last class for this semester will be next week.

The next semester will start on Jan 25th.

There are 2 extra classes in the spring semester and the cost is $320 per child (with the previous discounts).

NOTE: If you filled out the paperwork for last semester, you don't need to fill everything out again unless any information has changed (ie. emergency contact). 

 

Hebrew school will meet on Thursdays at the Rivercross Community room. 

We are hoping to have the first class (younger) from 4:30 - 5:30 pm and the older group (older 9+) from 5:30 -6:30 pm.  (Or something similar - maybe 4-5 and 5-6 - depending on afterschool schedules).

The typical Hebrew school class will include a healthy snack, learning about upcoming holidays, songs, Bible stories - the Parsha of the week (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah, Joseph and his brothers, etc), Israel, Aleph Bet (learn to write their names in Hebrew, etc), for the older kids, some basic prayers to make them feel comfortable in Jewish settings (prayer over wine, challah, candles).

Class Information:

K'tanim Class (4-8 year old): $ 320  

14 one-hour classes, 4pm on Thursdays (see attached schedule)

 

G'dolim Class (8+ year old): $ 320

14 one-hour classes, 5pm on Thursdays (see attached schedule)

$ 100 Discount for RIJC Members

$100 Discount for each additional sibling
